Well, I have been back here on Mull over the festive period catching up with Eagles and Otters.
The weather has been rather poor so its been a challenge to see the wildlife. Have been able to see several Otters , earlier in the week did get to see a glimpse of a Golden and White Tailed Eagle so was keen to get a better view and yesterday managed to sneak out early as the weather was a lot better. Plenty of Divers about with good views of Red and Black Throated along with Great Northern.
Did not see Slav Grebe which I would normally expect too but was very choppy out on the Lochs then managed to locate the pair of WT Eagles from Scridian which were sat on the islands waiting for lunch ( pictures on facebook page ) . Rest of the time I have been busy getting the self catering Chalet ready for next year, so if anybody would like to come and stay here in our 2 bed Chalet please just let me know. Cost of the stay includes a wildlife tour.
I am back down south again for another couple of weeks building up my 2016 year list before coming back at the end of Jan to find where the Eagles will be nesting, which Otters are about and getting everything ready for another enjoyable year.
Wishing everybody ( including LVG ) a wonderful, wildlife filled year and hope to see you here on Mull.
Nigel
